Team MuscleTech Superstars Days Out from the Europa Super Show

Johnnie Jackson 3 Days Out from the Europa Super Show

It was only 6 weeks ago when Johnnie Jackson, reaffirming his title as the World's Strongest Bodybuilder, deadlifted a world-record 760 pounds at the USPF Championships in Rhode Island. Now, Johnnie has focused his sights on the 2008 Mr. Olympia, which he's already qualified for. To beat his best-ever ninth-place showing last year, Johnnie needs to define himself as a formidable threat, and he plans on doing that this weekend in his own backyard at the Europa Super Show in Dallas, TX. With a newfound training method that includes regular visits halfway across the United States to Fullerton, CA, Johnnie Jackson has assembled a package complete with his signature thickness, but along with an improved lower body, streamlined waistline and more width. And judging by these exclusive MuscleTech.com photos, taken just three days out, he looks to be more shredded than ever. Watch out for Johnnie and other Team MuscleTech Superstars Darrem Charles and Fouad Abiad at this weekend's Europa Super Show.

The Sunshine State Shines Bright on Team MuscleTech’s Finest

This past weekend, more than 30 IFBB Pros stormed Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in Tampa Bay, Florida for the Pro Bodybuilding Weekly Classic. It’s the first of the final group of contests before the 2008 installment of the Mr. Olympia. With only a few Olympia qualifications up for grabs, this show had one of the deepest and most competitive line-ups we’ve seen all summer. But in true Team MuscleTech™ fashion, as the competition heated up, athletes like David Henry, Darrem Charles and Fouad Abiad shone their brightest.

David HenryIt was the “Giant Killer” David Henry who would out-muscle, out-flex and out-pose his way to the top of the 202-pound and under class. Bringing more quad sweep to match his signature thick upper body, along with dry-as-a-bone conditioning and cable-like vascularity, David Henry easily claimed his second pro victory! Relegating all 24 other combatants to the sidelines, David stole the show. More importantly, with this win he cements himself as the odds-on favorite in Vegas for the 202-pound class at the 2008 Mr. Olympia.

Darrem CharlesIn the overall category, it was David Henry leading the Team MuscleTech pack, followed closely by Darrem Charles and Fouad Abiad. To a sold-out, hometown crowd, “Dazzling” Darrem Charles proved yet again why he’s worthy of the moniker “Mr. Consistency.” Riding a wave of momentum, Darrem has won at least one pro show every year since 2002 (a resume few pros can claim). Unfortunately, he missed out on top honors and will have to wait until next week’s Europa Super Show for a chance to perpetuate his winning streak. Nothing to scoff at, Darrem brought his characteristically shredded conditioning, complete with deep cuts in his abs, flowing aesthetics and perfect muscular proportions.

Fouad AbiadIn his fifth pro show since turning pro in 2006, Fouad “Hoss” Abiad was in his best-ever condition and arguably the most overlooked competitor in the show. Fouad has promised that 2008 would be a big year – and indeed he has delivered. Competing in Tampa Bay with fully loaded, 22-inch guns and even more muscle on his 5’10” frame, Fouad seems to come into each pro contest bigger and better. Landing a hard-earned fifth-place finish, Fouad inched closer to his first ever Mr. Olympia qualification. Look for more from Fouad and other Team MuscleTech heavyweights at the Europa Super Show next weekend.

High Stakes in the Lone Star State

Branch WarrenThey all had to start somewhere, and when the pros give back, it speaks volumes. Case in point – Saturday July 12th, the Canroe Convention Center in Texas was filled with bodybuilders and figure and fitness competitors all vying to walk away the champion of the prestigious, second annual 2008 NPC Branch Warren Classic Bodybuilding, Figure and Fitness Competition. Featuring all classes of bodybuilding, men and women, teen, novice and masters, figure and fitness, the event also hosted a powerlifting and strongman competition. Branch Warren was not just a name on the event but he also highlighted the show with his guest posing routine, sporting dense, striated muscle thickness. Team MuscleTech™ superstar Johnnie Jackson also made an appearance as a guest poser, showing off his massive physique and giving back to the grassroots program.

Look out for these up-and-coming amateurs. Here are the results from the weekend:

“Johnnie Jackson Shatters Another Powerlifting Record!”

Johnnie JacksonTeam MuscleTech™ Superstar Johnnie Jackson – pound for pound the world's strongest bodybuilder – bridged the gap between the two worlds of bodybuilding and powerlifting recently as he competed in the United States Powerlifting Federation's (USPF) National Powerlifting Championships in Warwick, Rhode Island on June 29th, 2008. Always promoting the benefits of powerlifting as part of his overwhelming success as a professional bodybuilder, Johnnie consistently competes in powerlifting events where he never fails to put up impressive numbers. In fact, Johnnie opened his performance at the meet by easily firing up his first deadlift attempt of 760 pounds, shattering the current USPF world record! On his second attempt, Johnnie effortlessly pulled up an astonishing 821 pounds, but was unfortunately disqualified based on a technicality.

Explosive Fireworks in Houston

While a large portion of America was busy celebrating the 4th of July weekend, 20 IFBB pro bodybuilders were battling it out for a top spot at the 2008 Houston Pro. At the head of the pack was the scorching-hot Spaniard, Silvio Samuel.

Silvio’s deeply etched separations and samurai-carved details proved to be too much for runner-up Craig Richardson to hang with on stage. There’s no denying that Silvio has definitely found a winning secret formula to consistently nail his conditioning each time he hits the stage.

Trampling his way into the top three was the best-ever Leo “The Freak” Ingram the bodybuilding world has ever seen. Showcasing peeled granite hardness and notably improved aesthetics Leo picked up his first ticket to the Olympia in September.

Although he didn’t grab a top-three finish, Fouad “The Hoss” Abiad made his presence felt to everyone in the building that night. Rumored by some expert bodybuilding analysts to be the most overlooked man on stage, Fouad’s massive X-frame wrapped in paper-thin skin created a strong buzz among all in attendance and established an easily recognizable name for himself that judges will be forced to remember at his next show.

The always shredded Darrem Charles brought his superb conditioning to the stage and even made time to go pose for pose with his 18-year-old son, Renel Charles, who ended up winning his division.

The Hoss Set to Put Canada Back on the Map at the Houston Pro!

With the Houston Pro just around the corner, Canada's Fouad "The Hoss" Abiad is looking to kick-start 2008 by sending shockwaves throughout the IFBB Pro ranks.

Looking bigger and fuller than ever, The Hoss will be rumbling on stage July 4th with a monstrous 5 foot, 10-inch frame plastered in a peeled 250 pounds of rock-solid muscle! Without question, Fouad is well on his way to hitting his mark. But the pride of Windsor, Ontario knows that there is more at stake at this year's competition. As Canada's premier professional bodybuilder, Fouad will have the support of an entire nation following his every move in 2008. And as an inspiration to many aspiring bodybuilders north of the border, this Canuck valiantly carries the burden of representing an entire country on his back. As you can see from Fouad's progress pictures, it's obvious that all his hard work over this past off-season has paid off and The Hoss will definitely make Canada proud! Fouad will be using the new naNOX9 Hardcore to pump up before stepping on stage and shocking the crowd with his newly refined, jaw-dropping physique. The bodybuilding world better be prepared because 2008 will mark the year that Fouad Abiad becomes a household name in the IFBB!

Contest Winner Spends a Day with Jay

Traveling over 3,600 miles from Prince Edward Island, Canada, to sunny Venice Beach, CA, GNC contest winner Troy MacCullum set out for what would be one of the most memorable days of his life. After a short visit to the original Gold’s Gym, made famous by the greatest bodybuilders of the Iron Age, Troy traveled to Jay Cutler’s Max Muscle store to meet today’s greatest bodybuilder – reigning Mr. Olympia, Jay Cutler!

Carrying an off-season weight of more than 295 shredded pounds, Jay Cutler’s physique was an imposing sight! First, the two sat down for an off-the-record, no-holds-barred talk about everything from Jay’s early years in bodybuilding … to his meteoric rise to the top. Then it was time for business!

At Gold’s Gym, it was just another day at the office for Jay Cutler, as he went to work building and perfecting the physique that will surely earn him a third Mr. Olympia title. While the two tackled shoulders, traps and triceps, the world’s #1 bodybuilder shared his two-decades worth of training secrets, tips and tricks with the eager student. After a combined total of 100 sets, and thousands of pounds of iron, the duo sat down for lunch at Venice Beach’s legendary Firehouse Grill.

Jay answered more questions, divulging everything from his career, to his future plans and even his home life, while in the meantime offering exclusive insight into the character that defines him as a champion.

Later, Jay offered Troy a month’s supply of one of his very own MuscleTech® supplement stacks – the very same supplements he’s using en route to his third Olympia title – along with a copy of his book, C.E.O. Muscle and his two latest DVDs.

Jay Cutler Welcomes Over 1000 Guests Into His Home Jay Cutler Jay Cutler

... his hometown of Las Vegas, NV, that is. Mr. O himself was one of the main attractions at this year's annual GNC Franchise Show. On May 18, more than 1,500 GNC franchisees stormed “Sin City” for the 2008 GNC Franchise Show to get their hands on huge amounts of MuscleTech® products to stock in their stores. And who better than two-time Mr. Olympia, Jay Cutler, to host the expansive MuscleTech® booth!

As a testament to his popularity, the line to meet Jay Cutler could be seen from the entrance of the convention center. Of course, Jay was more than happy to sign autographs and pose for pictures as he greeted his loyal fan following. These lucky fans also got a glimpse of the 295-plus pounds of shredded muscle Jay's forged for this year's Olympia. With less than 20 weeks to go before the big show, Jay is looking even more massive than previous years, which says a lot. Even though he is king of the mountain, Jay takes each competition more seriously than the last. And you can expect Jay to bring his best for this year's Olympia in September when he looks to dominate the competition!

If you missed the GNC Franchise Show don't worry, Jay plans to make several stops to showcase his freaky muscle mass. His next stop will be in beautiful Hawaii this July! Mr. O will be making a special store appearance to greet fans, sign autographs and lend his advice to up-and-coming bodybuilders. As always, Jay has gone out of his way to thank his loyal fans for their support and, in return, he has promised to dwarf the competition and add another Sandow to his mantle.

Another Showstopper for Team MuscleTech Superstars

Ben White and David HenryAs one of the first shows to offer this weight class, David Henry took full advantage of his vulnerable competition. He easily overpowered the heavily muscled line-up, but came up short with a controversial second place finish in the under 202lbs. weight category, followed by a solid fourth place finish in the men’s open final. From the moment he took the stage his competitors looked nervous. Every time he hit a pose he seemed to come alive. He brought an upper body with thick and fully separated muscularity that was sliced and diced from every angle – and abs so completely peeled his skin appeared to be tightened by steel cables. You could hear the gasps as he turned his back from the crowd and opened up his rear lat spread that was laid out like a road map. Amid his controversial finish, David still overwhelmingly proved that not many can touch him in this weight class. It just goes to show you, size doesn’t mean a thing if you don’t have excruciating discipline with your training and diet, along with the best supplements in the world from Team MuscleTech™. And David Henry knows this recipe well, as he was bang-on with his incredible conditioning on this night!

Don't forget to check out Muscletech.com to stay up to date on the champions of the sport! As they take charge at upcoming IFBB pro events, we'll take you along and give you the inside scoop on all Team MuscleTech™ superstars while they continue to add to their impressive combined resume stacked with 61 pro victories and a staggering 135 top-3 finishes! You'll also see the supplements they used and the secrets to their training!
