Turkey Burger

Craving a Burger but Don’t Want to Cheat? Try a Turkey Burger.

The problem with traditional burgers is that they are high in fat and provide way too many calories, making them an unpopular choice for dieters and hardgainers alike. The best way to satisfy your cravings without damaging your progress is with a turkey burger. This burger recipe is low in fat and much leaner than its beef counterpart.

NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION (1 serving = 2 patties):

Calories: 293 Protein: 56g (224 cal) Carbohydrates: 6g (24 cal) Fats: 5g (45 cal)

INGREDIENTS:

  • ⅓ cup oatmeal
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tbsp. grated onion

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine the oatmeal, broth, turkey, egg and onions in a medium bowl and stir until mixed.
  2. Shape the mix into 4 patties.
  3. Cook over medium-high heat in a non-stick skillet for about
    5 minutes per side.
  4. Serve on a whole-wheat bun and top with extra veggies.
