How it Works

CLEAR MUSCLE™ triggers a massive increase in anabolic protein synthesis in the muscles, while at the same time, it inhibits muscle catabolism. Action 1: Triggers Anabolic Protein Synthesis

This anabolic (musclebuilding) process in the muscle is called the “mTOR” pathway. mTOR (the mammalian/mechanistic target of rapamycin), is a protein kinase which is found in the multi-protein complex called mTORC1, and plays a fundamental role in the regulation of  muscle mass. Quite simply, mTOR is the master regulator of protein synthesis, and CLEAR MUSCLE™, which supplies the patented BetaTOR™ free acid form of HMB, works to increase the phosphorylation of mTOR, thus activating the mTOR signaling pathway in muscle. Action 2: Decrease Muscle Protein Breakdown

CLEAR MUSCLE™ also works on a second pathway – the ubiquitin-proteosome-proteolytic pathway (UPPP), helping to shut down its activity. The Study Results

The key ingredient in CLEAR MUSCLE™ was put to the test at the world-leading Department of Health Sciences and Human Performance at The University of Tampa in Florida.

This gold-standard 3-phase clinical study might just be the most shocking and impactful study our industry has seen on a single ingredient in years! Researchers at The University of Tampa conducted a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study where they gave one group of subjects the BetaTOR® compound found in CLEAR MUSCLE™; the second group received a placebo. The study, in which Phase 1 (eight weeks) was a nonlinear periodized resistance-training program; Phase 2 (two weeks) was an overreaching cycle; and Phase 3 (two weeks) was a taper – all consisting of 3 to 5 days of weightlifting per week – was published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology and yielded shocking results!

Subjects also got significantly stronger when tested on maximum weight lifted on the bench press, deadlift, and squat. Part 2: PHOSPHA MUSCLE™

How it Works – Activating mTOR for More Muscle!

PHOSPHA MUSCLE™ is powered by Mediator® Phosphatidic Acid – an important signaling lipid that plays a role in a range of biological processes. However the key effect of this diacyl-glyercophospholipid that is more interesting for bodybuilders is the activation and amplification of muscle cell protein synthesis. When we work out, the fibers that receive the mechanical stimulus of weight training release phosphatidic acid inside the cells. The Science

Pre-clinical research showed that phosphatidic acid increased mTOR signaling by over 6 times compared to baseline. This was the first phase of the research on phosphatidic acid and the purpose of this pre-clinical research was simply to determine what source of it increased mTOR signaling the most. Scientists tested various sources of soy- and egg-derived phosphatidic acid, and reported their findings in data published in Nutrition & Metabolism. What they uncoverd was that soy-derived phosphatidic acid (Mediator®) increased mTOR signaling the most – by 6 times compared to baseline! Then the true anabolic powers of phosphatidic acid were unleashed upon a group of trained individuals at The University of Tampa where the results were nothing short of incredible!

The Science

Strength increase in 12 weeks

Hard-training subjects participated in a gold-standard 12-week human clinical study at The University of Tampa to determine the effectiveness of Peak ATP®.  These subjects used the exact same dosing protocol of Peak ATP® as PLASMA MUSCLE™.
